Yet Another Blog Post...

Phew! Somehow, I finally managed myself to blog.

Let's start off with Google+ ! Google+ is great. But, let's face it! If the same SNS would have been created by someone else. It wouldn't have received the amount of hype it's currently receiving. Even I was over-excited with it. I was kind of bored with Facebook. However, it was just a matter of few days. My excitement went down.

Google+ lacks a private messaging system. Moreover, no wall posts! Nothing! So, if your friend isn't online, you can't contact him through Google+. Try something else! Facebook, may be! But, you got to agree that Google+'s chat is several times better than that of Facebook's. I just hate Facebook chat! The concept of Circles & Hangouts is very nice. I like it.

In few months, people would be competing over how many people have them in circles. Just like Twitter! The photo viewer is 2x better than that of Facebook's. You can even do some basic editing stuff. Sparks is kind of good too! I think that Facebook's currently better than Google+ ! It was just over-excitement that made me post R.I.P. Facebook,etc.

I am getting myself Amazon Kindle this birthday. So, be ready for a full-fledged review of the Amazon Kindle. I chose Kindle over Nook. With Kindle, I would be able to do a bit of web surfing and install some handy apps on it. I will talk more about it once I get it in my hand... Leave it for now!

We've an highly-anticipated coming up today... India vs England @ The Lords. We have managed to win only a single test match at Lords. While, we have lost ten. What's more anticipated than this match is Sachin's 100th Century. Even I am waiting for that very moment! :)

Google Body Browser

Google has recently demonstrated Body Browser, a WebGL application that lets you explore the human body just like you explore the world using Google Earth! Interesting, isn't it?

WebGL is a context of the canvas HTML element which helps to provides a 3D graphics API implemented in a web browser without the use of plug-ins. WebGL is currently under development, and is supported in the latest builds of several browsers. 


So, To use Body Browser, you'll need a Web browser with WebGL support. Simply follow these steps to Get a WebGL implementation.

WebGL is available, but not enabled in Chrome 8 (the latest stable version).
Type about:flags in the address bar, click "Enable" next to "WebGL" and then click on "Restart now". 


WebGL come enabled in Chrome 9 Beta, Chrome 9 Dev Channel, Chrome Canary Build and Firefox 4 beta.

Now that you have a WebGL implemented browser, you are all set to explore the human world!

You can view through the anatomical layers of human body, zoom in, rotate and navigate through the human body.

You can also share the visual of exact part that you are viewing through the specific link from the address bar. For example, This is the part of the body I am currently viewing...

How to sort out phones according to requirement?

Decide your Budget: According to me, a 15k-20k budget would be perfect. But if you want to go for high end phones, you need a budget of over 25k.

Check out the Android version: Before choosing a handset, checkout the Android version it is providing and compare it to Google's latest release. Prefer the phone having 2.3 or above.

Look into the future: Google updates their Android software at a breakneck pace. This is awesome if your phone is ready for the upgrades, and demoralising if it isn't—and a lot of current handsets are getting left behind.

Decide if you want a physical keypad or not: Physical qwerty keypads with trackball do change the way you surf and will prove to be very useful if you want to chat and mail. But I can assure you that the Android keyboard would be perfect for using, once you get used to it. Moreover, if you have Swype in your phone, you'll never feel the need for a physical keypad! It seriously rocks! Believe me!

Find the user interface that best suites you: There are a few customised versions of Android from different manufacturers that are available; HTC sense, Moto blur, Touch wiz (Samsung) and basic vanilla Android (no manufacturer changes) are the prominent ones. Choose the one which reports the least number of bugs & appeals the most to you!

Do a little hard-work : Look at your Android options and find out which has the best specifications for you. The more internal storage, the better it is. You can download more applications which extend your phone's functionality. However, Android 2.2+ allows you to store apps on external storage. More RAM = More use of your phone. Also, look at the processor speed. The faster the processor, the smoother your phone runs. Don't forget to have a look at ROM size, it is an important factor considering the rapid upgrades from Google.

Search for reviews of the phones that interests you: Many phones have great specs on paper, but they may disappoint you later on...! Therefore, it's important to do a little bit of research! Get to know some expert's view on the phone!

Finally, try to get some hands on experience: Walk into a mobile store, and ask the dealer to show you the phones that you have chose. Try it out! The main reason behind is that you should not regret your decision after you have bought the phone.
